QTC Advanced Traffic Contoller

The QTC Hadron™ advanced traffic controller has a proven track record with thousands being deployed all over the world during the past six years. It has been designed to be fully compliant with the NSW RTA TSC/4 specification and was formally type approved in October of 2004.

SCATS Co-ordination:

  • MASTERLINK - fully integrated into SCATS control network
  • FLEXILINK - Time coordinated with other controllers in the region
  • ISOLATED - Standalone fixed time or vehicle actuated plans
  • FLASHING - Flashing yellows during system faults or for use during police manual traffic control for special events etc.

It incorporates state-of-the-art technology, including:

  • 32 bit bus architecture
  • 32 bit CardBus interfaces - 2 slots
  • In built modem for up to V34 dial / leased line connection
  • Additional ITS interfaces for VMS, Speed Signs etc.
  • Optional 10/100 Ethernet interface
  • HDL C communications protocol fully supported
  • Full surface mount design
  • Full support of Incandescent, QH and LED lantern types

The controller uses the RTA approved software, so full compatibility to SCATS™ is assured.

The controller has been designed with Traffic Engineers in mind. Features include:

  • Scalable architecture - up to 32 signal groups in 4 group increments
  • Integrated Loop Detectors - up to 48 loop detectors
  • Menu based HHT (hand held terminal)
  • Multiple standard vehicle actuated operating modes

The controller has also been designed with the field technician in mind.

  • Modular design enabling easy field servicing
  • The switchboard is easily accessible
  • Has numerous built in test functions
  • Fault and Error logs have easy to read diagnostics in English

Simple inventory control - module serial numbers can be read out remotely using SCATS while not interrupting traffic flows or signal coordination.

Remote reset of locked loop detectors via SCATS - no need for site visits from SCATS. Optional generator connection panel for use during general power outages.

Available as an ELV controller - only 42VAC going out to lanterns.

This option makes use of the same logic rack as the standard mains driven intersections so there is no need to maintain any special modules for ELV.
